Salary: SCP (18 – 23) (£31,537 to £34,434 pro rata). £16.35 – £17.85 per hour depending on experience.
10 hours per week. Home working position.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a community-minded and motivated person to take on the post of Assistant Parish Clerk to Pill and Easton in Gordano Parish Council.
The parish of Pill and Easton in Gordano is situated at the mouth of the River Avon and is adjacent to the M5 motorway, close to Gordano Services.
Ideally the successful candidate will work two hours a day, Monday to Friday, however this requirement is flexible to suit both the needs of the post holder and the parish council. The Assistant Clerk should live within easy travelling distance of the parish as occasional evening duties will be required to attend meetings, and weekly visits to the parish will be required to service notice boards, meet with contractors and collect post etc.
Reporting to the Parish Clerk, the successful candidate will need to be confident in the use of IT including Microsoft Office. A laptop, printer and mobile phone will be provided. A tax free home working allowance of £10 per month will be paid. Experience in local government is preferable, but not a requirement of the role as full training will be provided.
