At 3.45pm on 22nd July North Somerset Council informed the Parish Council by email that they had issued an emergency road closure notice for Rodway Road to enable Bristol Water to carry out urgent repair work to a water cover.  This work is due to be completed on 23rd July.

The Parish Council appreciates that this has caused major disruption in the village, not least to the bus service.  These matters are out of the control of the Parish Council, although we work closely with NSC and organisations such as Bristol Water and First Bus to try to mitigate the effects of emergency road closures such as this.  Given such short notice, it has not been possible for an alternative shuttle bus service to be provided.
