Nominate your Community Champions – Do you know someone who has made a difference?
The Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset is inviting nominations for individuals in the Pill and Portishead community who have demonstrated exceptional dedication through voluntary service, charitable work, or support for local groups or organisations.
Residents across Pill and Portishead are being encouraged to nominate individuals, as part of the Community Champions initiative supported by the Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset.
The initiative seeks to recognise people who have demonstrated exceptional dedication through voluntary service, charitable work, or ongoing support for local groups and organisations. These unsung heroes play a vital role in strengthening the community, often working quietly behind the scenes to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Successful nominees will be invited to a special evening reception at Leigh Court on Wednesday 15 July 2026, where their achievements will be formally acknowledged and celebrated.
The Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset, supported by Pill & Easton-in Gordano Parish Council and Portishead Town Council, is keen to ensure that local residents take part in recognising those who give their time and energy so generously to the community.

Members of the public can submit nominations by:
